Floral Print Shorts
You’ve probably all owned a pair of board shorts with the Hawaiian floral print pattern on them so why not try the concept of wearing a bold graphic on a regular pair of twill shorts? Just because you’re not wearing them in the pool or at the beach doesn’t mean they can’t work as everyday shorts this spring. Pair them with a solid tee, polo, or short sleeve button down to keep the look balanced and clean.
A lot of brands have their own version of these floral print shorts, so you can splurge on a pair by Supreme or J.Crew, for example, or get the look for less by shopping at Old Navy. Yes, Old Navy. Though not on the usual list of stores we shop at, we curiously stopped in recently and were surprised at the great selection. You can easily stock up on some affordable basics that are comparable in style to other “premium” brands. A note, however, on sizing. We found that the “regular” and “slim” size shirts are a little roomier than other brands so make sure to size down if you like a true slim fit. We also got the shirt length hemmed since it was a little long for us, but we usually get most of our shirts hemmed anyway - trust us, the cost of tailoring is worth it when you want to wear it untucked. Same goes for the shorts which we found to be 2 waist sizes larger than what we’re used to (we went with a size 28 instead of 30 for the shorts shown in this outfit). Also the leg opening is a little generous so just be mindful of that before purchasing. Other than that we definitely recommend checking these items out yourself - totally worth a trip to Old Navy for this bargain.
